Job Summary
Develop and implement efficient domestic transportation strategies to meet organizational objectives while collaborating with carriers to negotiate rates and service contracts. Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery, optimize routing and scheduling to minimize costs, and supervise a team of transportation coordinators. Analyze transportation data to identify trends, resolve issues related to shipments and delays, and leverage TMS to enhance overall efficiency. Maintain accurate records of shipments, expenses, and performance metrics to drive continuous process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proven experience (3+ years) in domestic transportation management
- Experience in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations, compliance, and safety standards
- Excellent communication skills
