Job Summary
Senior Logistics Planner responsible for end-to-end planning and fulfillment of customer demand for hire equipment within CHEP’s pallet network, optimizing inventory, forecasting, and distribution across 80+ locations in SSA. Key duties include analyzing transportation patterns, developing and maintaining KPIs, leading continuous improvement projects, coordinating with regional teams and Sales, generating real-time dashboards, presenting data-driven insights to senior leadership, and ensuring compliance, cost control, and efficient service delivery. Requires deep experience in planning/supply chain, strong analytical capabilities, proficiency with Blue Yonder/SAP/PowerBI, and ability to manage complex logistics networks. Hybrid work model available.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma Qualification in Supply Chain and Logistics
- Honours Degree desirable
- 5 years in a commercial/industrial environment
- At least 5 years in a logistics/transport environment with focus on inventory planning
- Knowledge of process improvement techniques
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- MS Excel, PowerBI, SAP, Blue Yonder (Demand planning & forecasting, Inventory management, and Order fulfillment & distribution)
