Job Summary
Senior Logistics Coordinator handles complex daily dispatch for company drivers, contractors, and partner carriers; independently manages high-priority and specialized shipments; serves as primary operational liaison between customers, drivers, contractors, carriers, and internal stakeholders; coordinates with customers and operations teams to ensure timely, compliant transportation; utilizes transportation management systems and dispatch software; analyzes transportation activity to identify trends and opportunities; supports onboarding and training of dispatch staff; requires strong knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service, and customer service excellence.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in truck dispatch, transportation operations, or logistics coordination required
- Experience dispatching company drivers and/or third-party carriers required
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements
- Experience utilizing transportation management systems (TMS) and dispatch software
