Job Summary
Serve meals to senior residents in the dining room by taking orders, setting up and delivering trays, and preparing foods according to dietary standards. Bus tables and trays, pour and cover beverages, and clean all work areas as directed while maintaining infection control procedures. Act as a liaison between residents and the food service department, ensuring residents' rights policies and facility safety programs are followed. Work cooperatively with dining room associates to produce an efficient operation, adhering to the dress code and physical requirements for lifting up to 40 pounds. Full-time shifts with daily pay and comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401K match, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate by speaking, seeing, and hearing sufficient to serve the residents
- Professional and neat appearance and presentation, adherence to the dress code, and good personal hygiene
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Free of communicable disease
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to relate to residents and associates in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances
- Completion of drug testing and criminal record background check
- Ability to bend, stand, lift, stoop, sit, walk, stretch, and lift/carry up to 40 pounds
- Ability to administer or follow written and oral directions
- Ability to communicate and relate to the community residents
- Ability to understand and relate the menu to residents
- Ability to act as liaison between residents and food service department
- Ability to follow residents' rights policies at all times
- Ability to follow facility safety program
- Willingness to perform other duties and assignments as necessary
- Work scheduled shifts and demonstrate dependability
