Job Summary
Oversee maintenance operations in a senior living community. Responsibilities include performing and supervising general maintenance projects across plumbing, electrical systems, fire and sprinkler systems, HVAC, landscaping, carpentry, painting, and equipment repair; maintain walls, floors, doors, windows, and furnishings in common areas; repair vacated rooms and in-unit plumbing; conduct minor electrical work in units and common areas; paint apartments and common areas; complete work orders promptly and document additional work; ensure compliance with local, county, state, and federal safety regulations; perform preventative maintenance and inspections of community equipment and vehicles; organize emergency evacuation drills and fire drills; maintain emergency call systems; conduct weekly checks on backup generators; assist with safety training and hazard communication; provide leadership, training, and support to direct report staff; engage with vendors for maintenance projects; and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years of age
- 1-3 years of related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
