Job Summary
The Cook is responsible for preparing wholesome, nutritious meals for a senior living community, serving items at the correct temperatures, following recipes and portion sizes, labeling and storing foods, monitoring temperatures in storage and service areas, managing overproduction and waste, and ensuring sanitation and safety according to state/local rules. The role requires teamwork under the Dining Services Director, with duties including stocking supplies, coordinating with vendors, and performing general kitchen cleaning. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, at least two years of cooking experience (healthcare or hospitality preferred), background and drug screening, and English literacy; Serv-Safe certification is preferred.

- Background check and drug screening upon hire and upon request of supervisor
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
