Job Summary
Provide wholesome, nutritious, and attractive meals for residents in a senior living community, ensuring meals are served at the appropriate temperature. Prepare and serve all food items using high quality ingredients and correct portions, follow recipes, monitor temperatures during storage, preparation, cooking, and serving, and label and store foods properly. Maintain sanitary kitchen practices, monitor refrigeration temperatures, control waste, and comply with state and local regulations. Work as part of a team under the Dining Services Director; assist with inventory, equipment safety, and general kitchen duties. Minimum two years cooking experience (preferably in healthcare or hospitality) and a High School Diploma or GED required; Serv-Safe certification preferred. Must pass background and drug screening and be able to communicate in English; ability to read, write, and relate to residents professionally. Required Qualifications
- 2 years cooking experience preferably within the healthcare or hospitality field
- High School Diploma or GED at a minimum
- Serv-Safe Certification preferred

- Ability to read, write, and speak English
