Job Summary
Provide spiritual care services and support to residents and families/caregivers across multiple Senior Living communities, either directly or through coordination with other spiritual counselors. Deliver spiritual guidance and emotional support during change, grief, illness, and joy while performing religious services, leading prayer, and rituals per denominational endorsement or client preference. Offer direct input to interdisciplinary teams, care conferences, and resident plans of care to ensure residents live intentionally in their second half of life within a pluralistic, multicultural landscape. Operate as a practitioner of an interdisciplinary approach to care, attending to every effort that maintains freedom of religious/spiritual expression across all variances.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Master of Divinity or equivalent degree from an accredited theological seminary
- ecclesiastical endorsement from faith group
- ordination
- commissioning by faith group
- certified or certifiable by the Association of Professional Chaplains
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) experience or equivalent
