Job Summary
Mentor and train junior system administrators while leading technical projects from planning through implementation. Manage escalated incident response activities and coordinate resolution for complex platform and customer-reported issues. Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis to diagnose and resolve infrastructure challenges. Manage internal infrastructure virtual machines, stage and deploy platform upgrades, and provision software on new nodes for production and development environments. Install, configure, and commission servers by deploying required operating systems and services.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience administering enterprise Linux environments (CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, or similar)
- Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and security best practices
- Proficiency in Bash, Python, or other scripting languages used for automation and infrastructure management
- Experience deploying and managing virtualization platforms and containerized workloads, including Kubernetes and Libvirt
- Familiarity with networking technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, and DNS
- Experience configuring and supporting web servers, databases, caching solutions, and distributed storage platforms such as Ceph
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex platform and customer-facing issues
- Excellent communication, documentation, and mentoring skills with the ability to collaborate across technical teams
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Cumulus Linux, PHP routing, and related infrastructure technologies
