Job Summary
Design, build, and administer large-scale bare metal Linux infrastructure, focusing on Ubuntu, Red Hat, and SUSE environments. Manage server hardware components including BIOS, RAID, firmware, iLO/iDRAC, NICs, and HBA cards while troubleshooting complex OS, networking, and storage issues. Architect and maintain enterprise storage solutions utilizing LVM, XFS, EXT4, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel SAN, and Multipath I/O. Lead Ceph cluster operations covering architecture, MON, OSD, MDS, RBD, and CephFS, along with capacity planning, performance tuning, and failure recovery. Implement high availability, clustering, and disaster recovery strategies using Bash and Python scripting for automation.
Required Qualifications
- Expert-level Linux administration
- Ubuntu
- Deep expertise in bare metal server deployment, architecture, and administration
- Strong understanding of server hardware, including BIOS, RAID, firmware, iLO/iDRAC/IPMI, NICs, HBA cards, and hardware troubleshooting
- Experience designing and administering enterprise Linux infrastructure
- Advanced Linux storage administration
- LVM
- XFS, EXT4
- NFS
- iSCSI
- Fibre Channel SAN
- Multipath I/O
- Strong hands-on experience with Ceph
- Cluster architecture
- MON, OSD, MDS
- RBD, CephFS, RGW
- Capacity planning
- Performance tuning
- Failure recovery
- Strong networking knowledge
- bonding, VLANs, routing, MTU, DNS, DHCP
- Experience with high availability, clustering, and disaster recovery
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux OS, hardware, networking, and storage
- Bash and Python scripting for automation
