Job Summary
Provide strategic leadership to the actuarial team, ensuring accurate execution of valuation, reserving, and pricing activities while overseeing IFRS-17 implementation. Utilize Prophet software for complex modeling to support pricing decisions and financial reporting, and collaborate with finance to calculate solvency requirements. Develop actuarial policies and monitor industry trends to provide strategic insights to senior management. Mentor the team, build relationships with regulators, and drive risk management and capital optimization efforts. This senior leadership role requires a minimum of 10 years of life insurance actuarial experience and IFOA Fellowship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Fellow or Associate of the IFOA, UK
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in life insurance actuarial roles, with a proven track record of leadership and managerial experience
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS-17 standards and experience leading their implementation in a life insurance context
- Proficiency in using Prophet software for actuarial modeling and analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex actuarial concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve results
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry regulations and best practices
