Job Summary
Conduct system scoping, screening, and aging management reviews for nuclear plant systems in support of license renewal applications. Collaborate with engineering and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with NRC regulations and manage roadmap inspections for license extension commitments. Perform engineering program basis documentation, data validation, and configuration control while reviewing inspection work orders to meet renewal criteria. Interact with clients and the NRC as a technical expert, maintaining awareness of evolving aging management regulations and operating experience. Lead teams in leveraging automation and AI tools to improve workflows and deliver cost-effective designs. Perform this role on a hybrid schedule with three in-office days per week.
Required Qualifications
- ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 5 or more years of experience in engineering, licensing engineering, program engineering, design engineering, power plant inspection, or AI
- Experience delivering accurate, high quality, technical documentation in a highly regulated environment
- Familiarity with engineering documentation systems, nuclear QA/QC protocols, and configuration management
- Strong systems thinking skills and ability to balance innovation with compliance, safety, and traceability
- This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week
