Job Summary
Senior CI Specialist (Cyber Crime Investigator) supporting a federal government client. Role emphasizes leading and supporting cyber intelligence operations, conducting digital forensics in CI investigations, developing all-source CI studies, and delivering training on collection operations TTPs. Requires TS/SCI with CI POLY, 10+ years in cyberspace CI operations, and credentialing/certification in CI special agent programs with completion of INCH, CIRC, WFE, FIWE, and DCITA coursework. Based in Reston, VA; full-time position with a strong emphasis on analytics, research methods, and independent work.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience conducting or supporting CI operations in cyberspace, CI investigations in cyberspace, digital forensics in support of counterintelligence investigations inquiries and/or CI collections in the cyber environment.
- Must have conducted digital forensic analysis on Personal Electronic Devices (PED), intrusion investigations and CI collection online.
- Graduate from an accredited CI Special Agent credentialing school & provide certification.
- Must provide proof of successful completion of: INCH, CIRC, WFE, FIWE from the Cyber Training Academy (CTA), DCITA. Commercial equivalents will be acceptable with government lead approval.
- Identifies, monitors, and assesses foreign intelligence efforts attempting collection of sensitive national security information on U.S. persons, activities, and interests, including threats posed by emerging technologies to U.S. operations and interests.
- Applies understanding of foreign intelligence capabilities/activities and U.S. and foreign partner CI capabilities and TTPs for in-depth analytic research and production of all-source CI studies.
- Conducts, develops, produces, and presents programs of instruction in specified collection operations TTPs, and related or supporting processes, relevant to various human intelligence and technical intelligence operations under DoD authorities.
- Graduate of in-residence Fundamentals of Intelligence Analysis course or Military Service equivalent.
- Demonstrates mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies and pursue developments in academia or other fields that affect tradecraft methodology.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and with minimal to no oversight.
- Demonstrates ability to review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support for conclusions; routinely tests analytic rigor of analytic products.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field (preferred)
- TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance or ability to obtain CI Poly
- 10+ years of experience in CI operations in cyberspace
- experience conducting digital forensics for CI investigations
- graduate from CI Special Agent credentialing school
- completion of INCH, CIRC, WFE, FIWE (CTA or equivalent)
- experience with DoD authorities and CI collection
- ability to develop CI strategies and all-source CI studies

- ability to work with minimal supervision
- strong analytic and research methodology skills
- master's or related advanced degree preferred
- additional 5+ years of senior experience as substitute to master's (if applicable)
