Senior LEO Satellite Operations Engineer

Job Summary
Lead integration of SCS systems and development of satellite operations products, including SOC testing, validation, and verification. Manage evolution of satellite operations concepts of operation for LEOP and routine phases while overseeing automation development for operating procedures. Maintain satellite operating procedures and provide engineering guidance to controllers during all operations phases. Support Satellite Data Platform design, analytics, and maintenance by tracking performance and refining satellite control guidelines. Deliver engineering oversight and training on satellite operations products and trending tools.
Required Qualifications
- Masters or Bachelor degree in an Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering, or the equivalent
- A background in Aerospace technologies and expertise in satellite operations software systems and development
- Minimum of 6-9 years experience in Satellite Operations Engineering
- Knowledge of satellite subsystem design and operation
- Knowledge of electronics, control systems and radio frequency communications
- Experience in developing software with a variety of platforms and programming tools
- Strong analytical, problem solving, real-time decision-making, planning and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written English communications skills
- Independent and self-motivated, with the ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of containerized software platforms
- Experience with Machine Learning and Data Analytics
- Experience in Python programming
