Senior Legal Manager (Distribution & Products)

Job Summary
Manage a team of two experienced lawyers in Dublin and oversee the legal management of the group's third-party and intragroup distribution network. Initiate and manage distribution-related regulatory change initiatives and internal global projects while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of international funds law and consumer protection legislation. Provide product legal structuring support for Luxembourg domiciled UCITS funds and assist the Irish products legal team on specific product initiatives. Ensure robust marketing validation processes for cross-border product offerings and support the Group Marketing function in preparing collateral. Appoint, supervise, and liaise with external counsel, regulators, and third parties to ensure compliance with international and local laws. Participate in group projects, industry working groups, and external fora, serving as the legal SPOC for distribution regulatory matters with the Group Public Affairs function. Assist in developing AI initiatives with the Amundi Innovation lab to improve legal support efficiencies.
Required Qualifications
- Common or Civil law training as a Solicitor/barrister/lawyer
- minimum of 5yrs PQE
- Fluent English
- High level of proficiency in French, Spanish or Italian
- International experience of the legal and regulatory issues affecting the distribution of UCITS and other collective investment vehicle structures globally
- Experience in providing product legal services for European CIU's
- Experience successfully leading and managing a team
Desired Qualifications
- ideally in the global financial services/asset management sector
- Experience and expertise in the review/negotiation of commercial agreements in a busy in-house legal team
- Attention to detail and strong drafting and negotiation skills combined with a practical approach to contract negotiation
- Good judgment, flexibility, enthusiasm, willingness to learn and improve every day and to take on additional responsibilities as necessary
- Ability to identify important contractual issues quickly and explain succinctly and in a commercial manner to non-lawyers
- Capable of working as part of a busy team, supporting an extremely dynamic global asset management business
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fluid, complex global organisation with shifting priorities
