Job Summary
Provide prompt and effective legal support to the Director, Legal & Compliance to enable timely and practical advice to the business. Serve as the day-to-day legal business partner for assigned business units, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, legal documents, and intellectual property matters. Monitor legal and regulatory developments to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws, conduct legal research, and advise on consumer complaints and disputes. Partner with cross-functional teams to identify risks and develop training programs to promote adherence to policies. Requires a qualified lawyer with five years of post-qualification experience and bar admission.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer with a valid admission to the Bar
- Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification legal experience
- Strong experience in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements
- Broad legal expertise across commercial, compliance, regulatory, and risk management matters
- Experience supporting consumer-facing (B2C) businesses and managing related legal and compliance obligations
- Exposure to Contract Law
- Exposure to Data Privacy & Data Protection
- Exposure to Consumer Protection
- Exposure to Intellectual Property
- Exposure to Compliance & Regulatory Matters
- Exposure to Competition Law
- Exposure to E-commerce-related Legal Matter
- Open to candidates from private practice/law firms with strong commercial advisory and contract management experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong business partnering skills
