Job Summary
Lead legal counsel for the Breast Cancer Therapeutic Area, providing strategic guidance to commercial, medical, value, and development teams while identifying and mitigating regulatory and compliance risks. Draft and negotiate complex research, development, and commercial agreements, and review promotional, medical, and external communication materials to ensure compliant execution. Manage alliance management, strategic asset integration, and product launch strategies, building organizational capability through cross-functional collaboration and legal training. Close partnership with regional and country legal colleagues to coordinate consistent support across the global portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- Law degree
- Bar admission
- Strong legal expertise in a commercial environment
- Significant post-qualification legal experience
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical legal frameworks
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements
- Strong understanding of risk management principles
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to provide pragmatic advice in complex global organizations
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent relationship-building skills across diverse cross-functional teams
- Fluency in English
- Ability to navigate ambiguity
- Ability to drive solutions independently
