Senior Legal Counsel, Procurement (D&T/Marketing)

Job Summary
Review and negotiate large strategic indirect procurement transactions, including complex Digital & Tech and Marketing deals, while integrating legal knowledge with business understanding. Draft, analyze, and counsel on commercial contracts, acting as a point of escalation for high-volume non-strategic transactions handled by a centralized service centre. Provide oversight on playbooks, templates, and processes, and research new legislation impacting procurement contracting to ensure compliance. Collaborate with the head of Indirect Procurement and cross-functional teams to solve business challenges and manage disputes related to indirect procurement matters. Work under pressure to meet deadlines while managing numerous priorities independently and within a team environment. Must attend Haleon's UK offices in Bankside, London, at least two days per week.
Required Qualifications
- UK qualified lawyer
- Substantial experience in commercial contracting
- Solid understanding of legal concepts in contract law
- Experience in drafting and negotiating information technology and digital services contracts
- Experience in drafting and negotiating other categories of indirect procurement contracts, such as marketing agency contracts, consulting, and other professional services
- Good knowledge and experience of how in-house lawyers collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders resulting in strategic impact
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to be applied internally and externally
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of Haleon management
- Ability to work under pressure, manage numerous and changing priorities effectively and efficiently, meet deadlines, and work independently as well as in a team environment when required

Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of and experience with laws and regulations associated with the fast-moving consumer goods industry
- Familiarity with data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI laws and regulations
