Job Summary
Lead legal counsel for the International Neuroscience & Gene Therapies Therapeutic Area by serving as a primary legal partner to commercial, medical, development, and market access teams. Provide strategic guidance to enable bold innovation, guide high-impact decisions, and support successful product launch strategies across complex global initiatives. Identify, assess, and mitigate legal, regulatory, and compliance risks while leading the drafting, negotiation, and management of research, development, and commercial agreements. Manage alliance management, integration of strategic assets, and compliant external communications. Collaborate with global, regional, and country legal colleagues to ensure consistent support, build organizational capability through training, and drive novel business approaches.
Required Qualifications
- Law degree
- Bar admission
- Strong legal expertise in a commercial environment
- Significant post-qualification legal experience
- Experience within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector
- Experience with a top-tier law firm advising healthcare and technology clients
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical legal frameworks
- Knowledge of compliance requirements
- Knowledge of risk management principles
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Ability to provide pragmatic and proactive advice in complex global organizations
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong relationship-building skills across diverse cross-functional teams
- Track record of effectively managing competing priorities
