Job Summary
Provide accurate and timely legal advice to relevant teams on a wide range of legal matters, including research and assessment of risks related to business decisions and operations. Draft, review, and update company policies, procedures, and standard agreements, while preparing legal opinions for management and drafting memoranda in Turkish and English. Oversee litigation matters and represent the company in court hearings, arbitration, and mediation proceedings. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Finance, and other functions to support business objectives and monitor legislative changes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law
- Comprehensive knowledge of payment services, payment products, e-commerce, M&A, commercial contracts, IP, data privacy, and IT law
- At least 5 years of experience in a law firm or as in-house legal counsel, preferably within the financial services sector
- Experience in litigation
- Experience in arbitration and mediation
- Strong knowledge of corporate law and corporate governance procedures
- Solid understanding of the legal and regulatory environment affecting corporations
- Demonstrated ability to develop proactive and defensive legal strategies
- High level of professional ethics and integrity
- Strong analytical skills and sound judgment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Turkish and English
