Job Summary
Draft, review, and negotiate high-volume commercial agreements including SaaS, software licensing, and cloud services. Support the assessment, management, and resolution of consumer claims and disputes by developing pre-litigation strategies and coordinating with external counsel. Advise on cybersecurity and privacy matters, ensuring compliance with Canadian laws such as PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25 regarding customer delivery data and real-time tracking. Provide practical legal advice on industry regulatory developments and manage external law firm mandates across operating jurisdictions. Collaborate with internal teams to improve legal processes through precedent management and the implementation of AI tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
- Membership in good standing with the Barreau du Québec or the law society of another Canadian province
- At least five years of relevant experience gained in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Full professional proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written
