Job Summary
Senior Legal Counsel at Ergomed Group, a mid-sized CRO focusing on Oncology and Rare Disease, provides strategic and operational legal support across the organization. The role ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations, manages legal risk, and safeguards the company’s reputation. Responsibilities include delivering expert legal guidance on a broad range of topics, leading development and implementation of legal strategies, overseeing governance frameworks, managing legal risks related to operations and strategic initiatives, drafting and negotiating complex agreements, handling disputes and coordinating with external counsel, acting as liaison with regulators, mentoring junior team members, monitoring regulatory developments, and supporting mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and other strategic transactions. Requires LL.B./J.D. or equivalent, admission to practice law, 8+ years in a senior legal role, and strong experience across commercial matters, governance, and dispute resolution. Fluency in English and leadership capabilities are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), Juris Doctor (J.D.), or equivalent law degree
- Admission to practice law in at least one relevant jurisdiction
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in a senior legal role within an international corporate environment; experience in Life Sciences industry preferred
- Strong experience across commercial matters, M&A, employment, corporate compliance, corporate governance, and dispute resolution/litigation management
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Leadership and mentoring of junior legal team members
- Fluency in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to guide and influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
