Job Summary
Senior Legal Counsel providing strategic and operational legal support across the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while proactively managing legal risk. Lead development and implementation of legal strategies, oversee internal governance frameworks, manage disputes and litigation matters, draft and negotiate complex agreements, coordinate with regulators and external counsel, mentor junior team members, monitor regulatory developments, and support strategic transactions including mergers and acquisitions. Requires broad legal expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to advise senior leadership across multiple jurisdictions in a life sciences/cro-s environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), Juris Doctor (J.D.), or equivalent law degree
- Admission to practice law in at least one relevant jurisdiction
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in a senior legal role within an international corporate environment; Life Sciences experience preferred
- Strong experience across commercial matters, M&A, employment, corporate compliance, corporate governance, and dispute resolution/litigation management
- Proven track record of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
