Job Summary

Senior Legal Counsel - Corporate & Compliance at Faraday Future responsible for leading global compliance initiatives, SEC filings, governance, contract review and negotiation, internal investigations, and development of company-wide compliance programs and training. Requires JD, active U.S. bar, 10+ years in-house or top-tier firm experience, and a strong background in commercial agreements, IP and labor/employment matters, with experience in regulated industries and cross-functional collaboration across Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, HR, and Operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
  • Minimum 10 years of legal experience, including significant in-house and/or top-tier law firm experience
  • Experience supporting public company compliance initiatives and corporate governance matters
  • Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, including: Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), Supply chain and vendor agreements, Consulting and services agreements, Technology transactions, Joint development agreements, University research agreements, Securities purchase agreements
  • Experience advising business stakeholders on intellectual property rights, strategic partnerships, and product development matters
  • Experience counseling management and HR teams on labor and employment law matters, including employee relations, workplace investigations, accommodations, disciplinary actions, and dispute resolution
  • Experience conducting internal investigations and compliance audits while preserving legal privilege
  • Experience developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and employee training initiatives
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, and Operations
  • Experience in manufacturing, technology, life sciences, or other regulated industries is a MUST
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance, compliance frameworks, and public company legal requirements
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment and labor laws, including wage and hour compliance, accommodation, leave laws, anti-discrimination regulations, and workplace investigations
  • Ability to identify legal, operational, and reputational risks and develop practical mitigation strategies
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and contract interpretation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound legal and business judgment
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to executive leadership and non-legal stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in sensitive matters
  • Proven ability to develop practical, business-oriented legal solutions
  • Leadership & Collaboration: ability to lead compliance initiatives and drive accountability across departments
  • Experience developing and conducting employee training programs related to legal compliance, governance, ethics, and employment matters
  • Ability to independently manage complex legal matters while coordinating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Personal Attributes: high integrity, professionalism, ethical judgment, proactive solutions-oriented mindset
  • Fluency in Mandarin preferred
  • Preferred qualifications: additional corporate compliance certifications, SEC filings experience, outside counsel management, SEC regulations familiarity
  • Annual Salary Range: ($160,000 - $230,000 DOE), plus benefits and incentive plans
