Job Summary
Senior Legal Counsel to CelcomDigi’s commercial functions: structure transactions across business lines; draft, review, and negotiate legal documents; assess legal risks and provide strategic guidance; conduct legal research and stay updated on regulatory changes (notably the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and the Cyber Security Act 2024); coordinate with external counsels; support Heads of Section/Department; deliver contract compliance awareness and advise on corporate initiatives. Requires strong drafting, research, analytical skills; excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; admitted lawyer in Malaysia; 8–12 years PQE with telecom/tech exposure; offices located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree of Law/LLB
- Admitted as advocate & solicitor of the High Court of Malaya
- 8-12 years post qualification experience with exposure to telecommunications or technology sector an added advantage
