Job Summary
Senior commercial lawyer to support procurement contracting across infrastructure, energy and government-funded projects. Responsibilities include procurement contracting using standard templates, reviewing and negotiating supplier agreements (including software/technology contracts), leading contract negotiations with vendors and government bodies, identifying contractual risks across major projects, supporting refurbishment and upgrade programs, and coordinating with internal/external counsel on regulatory matters (including National Electricity Law). Requires Australian-qualified lawyer with 10–15 years’ PQE, strong autonomous capability, and effective communication with technical, commercial, and executive teams. The role offers remote work with occasional on-site presence, and may involve FIFO or hybrid travel; opportunities to work with a global leader in on-demand legal talent and to contribute across North America, UK, Europe, and APAC.
Required Qualifications
- Australian-qualified lawyer with a common law background
- 10–15 years PQE in private practice and in-house roles
- strong commercial contracting capability
- experience in infrastructure, energy, dam refurbishment, and government funding arrangements
- ability to manage complex multi-stakeholder projects
- availability for FIFO or hybrid travel arrangements
