Job Summary
Lead the Advice Team in the Civil Division by managing eight Legal Advisers and three Assistant Legal Advisers to deliver high-quality legal guidance on constitutional, international, financial services, trade, legislative reform, sanctions, and human rights matters. Represent the Attorney General, Minister, or States Body in courts, tribunals, and other forums while specializing in high-risk civil cases. Collaborate with three other team leaders to support the Government of Jersey across the full range of civil law advice and litigation, contributing to departmental initiatives and deputising for the Director.
Required Qualifications
- experienced public sector lawyer
- experience of providing high quality and accurate legal advice on complex issues in at least 2 areas of work covered by the team
- significant experience of managing a team of lawyers ensuring consistent and timely high quality legal advice
- able to successfully work with a wide range of stakeholders
- entitled for work
- DBS Check Level: Basic
