Job Summary
Senior Lecturer in Medicine (Gastroenterology and Hepatology) based at Blacktown Clinical School, Western Sydney University. Deliver integrated teaching, research and clinical care in gastroenterology and hepatology; design and deliver high-quality learning experiences across undergraduate and postgraduate medicine programs; support student progression and employability; contribute to curriculum development and academic quality assurance; participate in clinical service at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals; eligible for or hold Medical Board registration; pursue scholarly activity and clinical-practice contributions in partnership with local hospitals. The role is primarily full-time with consideration of part-time appointments for suitably qualified candidates, and includes hybrid remote work arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia
- Specialist training and consultant-level experience in Gastroenterology and/or Hepatology
- PhD or currently undertaking a PhD
- Eligibility to hold a clinical appointment at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospital
- Experience in teaching and learning design at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level
- Ability to design and deliver high-quality learning experiences across undergraduate and postgraduate medicine programs
- Capability to contribute to curriculum development in Gastroenterology and Hepatology
- Evidence of engagement in research and scholarly activity aligned to the discipline
- Commitment to contributing to clinical service and departmental responsibilities at partner hospitals
- Full-time working rights in Australia
