Job Summary

Senior Lecturer in Small Animal Medicine responsible for contributing to the teaching programme in small animal medicine, creating and maintaining aligned teaching materials, and unit coordination. Also leads clinical service leadership through consultation and supervision of undergraduate and graduate students, with development of clinical research through securing grants and delivering high-quality outputs. Will engage with industry/external stakeholders to advance the College and University's interests, and may emphasize teaching or research based on interests and career goals. Further qualifications in teaching or research are supported.

Required Qualifications

  • A clinical specialist qualification (DECVIM-CA, DACVIM or fellowship)
  • Evidence of excellence in clinical work across a broad range of small animal medicine
  • Experience in directing a clinical team within a small animal medicine referral service
  • Substantial teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Experience supervising honours, Masters by Coursework, HDR and postgraduate students or residents
  • Track record in undertaking clinical research and obtaining competitive grants
