Job Summary
Partner with leaders across Riggs Cat, Caterpillar, and external stakeholders to diagnose business challenges and determine whether learning, coaching, or process improvement drives the right solution. Translate complex needs into workforce development strategies by designing onboarding, leadership development, and technical training architectures that connect capability with performance. Create high-quality eLearning, simulations, and virtual programs using agile, sprint-based approaches and emerging technologies like AI to build consumer-grade experiences. Develop assessment strategies that prove business impact while helping organizations build future leaders and strengthen technical capability. This role requires significant travel up to 10% for on-site instruction and involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and extreme weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in learning, instructional design, education, adult learning, or a related field
- Significant experience in consulting, learning design, development, and execution
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
- Frequently required to climb or balance
- Occasionally required to sit or smell
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Routinely lifting up to 20 pounds
- Occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals
- Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat
- Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration
- Required travel up to 10%
