Job Summary
Own strategy execution for Operations, including manufacturing, supply chain, production engineering, safety, and quality, with a focus on value stream mapping, balancing the line, and throughput reduction. Implement core systems such as lean tools, visual management, daily metrics, and safety compliance. Facilitate lean workshops to guide teams toward continuous improvement and follow through on actions to build trust. Be a visible, floor-present leader who motivates people, models accountability, and mentors team members while preparing the operation to scale output and expand the workforce. Partner closely with the Operations Leadership Team on day-to-day execution and long-term planning. This role supports extraordinary future growth and product line expansion for a Shreveport-based modular manufacturing business serving renewable energy, telecommunications, and other verticals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10-15 years in manufacturing operations
- Heavy industrial type manufacturing, complex large format assembly environments, heavy equipment/industrial contracting, or other related experience
- Track record of embedding lean tools, visual management, and safety systems
- Has led plant teams of 100–300+ through lean tactics implementation and scaled operations
- Strong manufacturing acumen—comfortable talking capacity, utilization, and key performance indicators
- High EQ, high standards—known for coaching teams and driving continuous improvement
- Willing and able to relocate to Shreveport and be a consistent presence on-site
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field; OR equivalent combination of education and manufacturing/CI experience
Desired Qualifications
- Green/black belt certification helpful, but real-world experience more important
- Background in private equity or high-growth environments is a plus
