Job Summary
Senior Lead Teradata DBA focused on managing on-prem Teradata hardware/software, applying patches, replacements, and upgrades with Teradata support; support data governance and metadata management; ensure Teradata system operability with occasional evening/weekend maintenance; provide direction to developers on operational, design, development, and implementation aspects; perform backup/recovery using BAR DSA and NetBackup; develop proactive monitoring for capacity and performance; support EDW users with issue resolution; manage Teradata Active System Management (TASM) rules and Workload Manager configurations; participate in DR build/test and quarterly maintenance; monitor Teradata system health and manage security/access rights; coordinate with Teradata and stakeholders to meet business, security, and reporting needs; support audits and Safeguard SCSEM reports; generate capacity, space, CPU reports; lead meetings and mentor team members; additional duties as assigned; front-end tool administration for OpenText Bi-Query. Location: Springfield, IL, USA.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Teradata OnPrem environment
- Knowledge of Teradata Active System Management (TASM)
- Backup and recovery experience using BAR DSA and NetBackup
- Capacity planning and performance tuning
- Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and testing
- Experience coordinating with internal/external audits
- Front-end tool experience with OpenText Bi-Query
- Strong ownership and mentoring capabilities
