Job Summary
Senior Lead SRE focusing on Data & AWS at JPMorgan Chase. Design, implement, and maintain a managed AWS and Data platform; drive observability, incident response, and automation; lead cross-functional collaboration with data engineering, data science/ML, and application teams. Scope includes platform design/configuration, workload administration, capacity planning, and continuous improvement of deployment processes. Emphasizes engineering rigor, production-grade code, secure and scalable data platforms, and adherence to SRE best practices (SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, incident management) with a culture of diversity and inclusion.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experience
- Strong understanding of SRE principles including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and incident management
- Experience with monitoring tools, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficient in Python application development with automated unit testing
- Experience with Terraform development and understanding of Terraform Enterprise
- Experience in delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Knowledge of Big Data distributed compute frameworks like Spark, Glue, MapReduce
