Job Summary
Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase focused on VMware and OpenShift administration within the Infrastructure Platforms team. Drives automation and cloud-native practices using Shell scripting, Terraform, and Ansible to streamline provisioning, patching, and monitoring. Responsibilities include guiding technical direction, developing and reviewing production code, ensuring security and compliance, maintaining VMware and OpenShift infrastructure (including vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, Horizon, Workspace ONE, App Volumes, Dynamic Environment Manager), administering Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS) and Windows Server environments, implementing CI/CD pipelines, collaborating across cross-functional teams, and documenting runbooks and platform-level test solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Deep expertise in VMware technologies and OpenShift administration
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Ansible, Bash, YAML)
- Experience with Linux and Windows OS management, patching, and monitoring
- Experience in administering Active Directory, DHCP, DNS services
- Experience with microservices architecture, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), telemetry platforms (Grafana, Splunk), DevOps automation, and infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform, and Ansible
- Experience in Tier 3 data center operations including air gap connectivity, patching strategies, and audit preparation
