Job Summary
Lead pre-trade, trade capture, pricing, and real-time risk & PnL stream development within the FICC asset class. Conduct thorough analysis of legacy systems to identify improvements, design scalable technical solutions, and drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices across teams. Develop metrics to measure transformation success, lead pilot projects for new technologies, and collaborate with Trading, Risk, and P&L teams to build robust systems. Establish validation standards for secure coding and automated testing while coaching senior engineers on compliant AI usage.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years of applied experience of Java
- 5+ years of applied experience of Core Spring Framework
- 5+ years of applied experience of Spring Boot
- 5+ years of applied experience of Spring Cloud
- 5+ years of applied experience of Python
- 5+ years of applied experience of C++
- Experience in developing software using Kafka
- Experience in developing software using IBM MQ
- Experience in developing software using Tibco
- Experience in developing software using AMPS
- Experience in developing transformation projects with latest technological skills in Fixed Income trading system domain
- Demonstrated prior experience influencing across highly matrixed, complex organizations and delivering value at scale
- Experience in working on complex projects supporting system design, testing, and operational stability
- Expertise in Computer Science
- Expertise in Computer Engineering
- Expertise in Mathematics
- Expertise in a related technical field
- Demonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment
- Ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows
- Experience coaching senior engineers/leads on compliant usage patterns and controls
Desired Qualifications
- 10+ years of software development experience using either: Java, Python, C++ or SQL
- Experience as a lead software engineer for a small team
- Strong understanding of programming and problem-solving skills
- Team player and positive attitude
- Graduate degree in Computer science/engineering field
- AI/ML knowledge
- NLP knowledge
