Job Summary
Lead Engineer role focusing on backend systems in APL (current core) with future C#/.NET work; architect scalable, secure, high-performance solutions on Microsoft Azure; mentor engineers through code reviews, technical planning and agile ways of working; drive code quality via unit/integration testing and CI/CD; identify performance bottlenecks; collaborate with Product and engineering peers to deliver outcomes; strong emphasis on cross-location collaboration; APL readiness with training provided; optional FinTech/regulated-industry experience beneficial; hybrid workplace model.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Strong experience in C#/.NET (Core/Framework) and building backend systems (APIs, services, integrations)
- Familiarity with APIs (REST/streaming patterns) and messaging concepts (e.g., service bus patterns)
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD, plus strong code review habits
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable collaborating with multiple stakeholders and communicating clearly in an international environment
- APL READINESS (training provided)
