Job Summary
Senior Lead Software Engineer — Performance / Systems at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Technology, Compliance Technology. Lead and contribute to the design, development, and execution of performance test plans using JMeter, Grafana, and Prometheus; optimize real-time performance monitoring; manage Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments; design REST APIs with Open API Standards; implement deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Travis; ensure secure, scalable cloud-based services; oversee authentication/authorization across systems; apply Agile methodologies to drive performance improvements and code quality; contribute to engineering communities and foster a diverse, inclusive team culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years applied experience in software engineering or performance engineering
- 2+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items
- Strong understanding of programming fundamentals and proficiency in performance testing and monitoring tools (e.g., JMeter, BlazeMeter, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace)
- Experience with AWS/cloud computing, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and shell scripting
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs with Open API Standards
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Travis; understanding of accessibility and security compliance
- Proficient in managing user authentication and authorization across multiple systems
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
- Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams and drive continuous improvement
Desired Qualifications
- Certifications in performance testing or cloud technologies
- Experience in financial services or a related industry
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices, with overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies (i.e., AWS)
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mobile
