Job Summary
Senior Lead Software Engineer responsible for leading a team of developers to architect, design, and deliver scalable, secure software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies. Drive architectural decisions, implement best practices, conduct code reviews, and mentor engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver features and improvements. Hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB/Cassandra), CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes), testing (JUnit, Mockito), and modern engineering practices. Emphasizes leadership, technical excellence, continuous improvement, and strong communication.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8 years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or management role
- Expertise in Java (Java 8 or above)
- Experience with Spring Boot and microservices
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Relational databases PostgreSQL or MySQL; NoSQL MongoDB or Cassandra
- CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes
- Unit, integration, and end-to-end testing with JUnit and Mockito
- Designing scalable, maintainable, and secure software architectures
- Leadership and mentoring of engineering teams
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Knowledge of application security best practices and tools such as OAuth2 and JWT
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana, and logging frameworks such as the ELK stack
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
- Skills in profiling and optimizing application performance
- Participation in open source projects or communities
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Advanced experience with Jenkins for building and automating deployment pipelines
