Job Summary
Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Consumer Card Technology Group. Drives technical direction, mentors teams, and delivers secure, scalable production code using Java and Spring/Spring Boot. Influences product design, application functionality, and technical operations; serves as a function-wide SME; promotes engineering best practices across the SDLC; engages with high-level clients and vendors; fosters a diverse, inclusive team culture. Must have formal Java training/certification and 5+ years of hands-on experience with Spring/Spring Boot, AWS cloud-native experience, and strong problem-solving abilities across multiple technologies and applications. Experience with architecture, design, and operation of high-availability systems in a banking/financial services context is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on Java software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- 5+ years experience with Spring & Spring Boot
- Experience working with high-level clients and providing good technical leadership
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s)
- Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Practical AWS cloud native experience
- Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
