Job Summary
Senior Lead Software Engineer role focused on delivering secure, scalable financial technology solutions for Equities Broker Dealer and Prime Finance. Responsible for architecture decisions, cloud-native and microservices-based modernization, and leading engineering efforts across design, development, testing (unit, SIT, UAT), and production stability. Partnerships with business, product, and operations teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions, with a strong emphasis on mentoring engineers, fostering a collaborative engineering culture, and driving platform evolution. Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, distributed systems, cloud-native development (AWS), CI/CD, and observability tools is required; experience with financial domain platforms and front-end technologies such as React is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of applied experience in software engineering
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems
- Cloud-native development (AWS or equivalent)
- CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and automation practices
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience with relational databases (Oracle/DB2) and NoSQL (MongoDB)
- Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, MQ) and modern front-end technologies (React)
- Familiarity with observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization
- Experience delivering high-volume, low-latency financial systems
- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills
- Strong SDLC and production stability focus
- Experience across cross-functional teams in large-scale enterprise environments
- Exposure to Prime Finance, Securities Lending, or Broker Dealer platforms
