Job Summary
Lead and deliver specific projects within the global program of work for the Strategic Index desk, designing, developing, and maintaining applications that support cross-market index platforms. Collaborate with global colleagues in Quantitative Research, Structuring, Trading, Sales, and Middle Office to influence technology teams and deliver user-focused solutions using Agile methodologies. Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed, establishing validation standards for secure coding and automated testing. Take ownership of work from inception to production while fostering a collaborative team environment and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Strong technical background in object-oriented or functional programming (Python, Java, C++, or C#)
- Willingness to become proficient and develop in Python
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality, well-tested solutions in a controlled environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact confidently with business users and stakeholders
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Demonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching senior engineers/leads on compliant usage patterns and controls
- Ability to take ownership of deliverables from requirements to production
- Commitment to testing and producing reliable, maintainable software
