Job Summary
Senior Lead Python Engineer and Group Manager leading ~15+ engineers within Enterprise Risk Technology. Define and execute strategy for Python engineering, AI agent platforms, and full-stack data applications. Serve as senior technical authority for AI/GenAI platforms, data pipelines, and microservices. Drive AI PDLC adoption, model governance, and regulatory alignment (CCAR/FDIC). Lead multi-team agile efforts using Python, PySpark, Databricks, Kafka, and cloud-native stacks (Kubernetes/OpenShift). Emphasizes data governance, data quality, auditability, and collaboration with Risk, Finance, and Retail Banking stakeholders. Mentors senior engineers and engineering managers; ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and governance processes. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred. Time Type: Full time. Primary Location: Rutherford, New Jersey, United States.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of relevant experience in enterprise application development, data engineering, or AI platform engineering
- 8+ years leading multi-team Agile organizations (20+ engineers)
- Advanced expertise in Python, PySpark, and Databricks ecosystem
- Proven experience architecting and implementing enterprise AI/GenAI platforms with LLMs
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (Devin.AI, GitHub Copilot)
- Strong experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native deployment (Kubernetes/OpenShift)
- Experience with event-driven architectures and streaming platforms (Kafka)
- Deep understanding of data architecture, data mesh, data federation, and regulatory data requirements
- Proven client relationship management experience and ability to engage senior stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred
