Job Summary
Senior leader responsible for researching, developing, and stewarding staff policies and people programs aligned with strategy, EDIA commitments, and a modern, flexible workforce. Leads policy design, review, and implementation with a consultative approach, ensuring equitable, accessible policies and programs that support organizational culture of fairness and transparency. Drives EDIA integration across policies, guides cross-functional teams, coordinates with People & Culture, Technology, and Internal Communications, and supports digital system alignment and AI-related use cases while operating in a permanent hybrid Toronto-based role.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field
- 4-5 years of progressive experience in policy development, organizational development, people programs, or related fields within a complex organization
- Demonstrated experience applying an equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility lens to policy, program, or process design
- Experience collaborating across functions to design or improve people-related processes, policies, or systems
- Training or certification in Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (asset)
- Organization Development Certification Program (asset)
- Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci) (asset)
- Chartered Professional/Leader in Human Resources (asset)
- Knowledge of employment legislation and people policy/procedure development
- Ability to map and improve end-to-end people processes with attention to equity impacts
- Experience aligning policy intent, process design, and digital tools
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Hybrid work environment requires some in-office presence in Toronto
