Senior Lead Mineral Processing Engineer

Job Summary

Lead development of process engineering deliverables for mineral processing plants recovering copper, gold, silver, diamonds, potash, REE, and critical minerals. Generate accurate documentation, conduct preliminary design calculations, and prepare final design plans, cost estimates, and technical deliverables. Oversee project budgets, manage subcontractors and employees, and mentor staff to support their professional growth. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to solve client challenges while adhering to industry standards for safety, design, and functionality. Maintain project documentation and exercise ethical decision-making regarding company resources.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemical, Metallurgical, or Mineral Process Engineering
  • 10+ years of process engineering experience on mining, mineral processing, or metallurgical capital projects
  • demonstrated depth in gold heap leaching
  • copper flotation
  • base metal hydrometallurgical plants
  • solvent extraction process design
  • Familiarity with HAZOP and process safety review methodologies
  • experience as a participant or study node leader
  • Experience working within an EPCM project
  • responsibility for reviewing and coordinating engineering deliverables produced by sub-consultants and turnkey package manufactures
  • Demonstrated work in extractive metallurgical process engineering
