Job Summary
Lead Infrastructure Engineer responsible for engineering and implementing firewall infrastructure, AI-assisted workflows, and cross-team coordination within a large enterprise. Plays a key role in policy orchestration (Tufin) and firewall platforms (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Checkpoint), develops automation scripts (Python, Ansible, Terraform, JSON), and creates engineering standards and operational documentation. Serves as escalation point for Network Operations and Service Delivery, drives reuse of AI-enabled practices to improve resiliency, security, and auditability across delivery and automation.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in infrastructure disciplines
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with firewall and network security design, engineering and implementation within a large enterprise environment
- Knowledge and experience on DMZ and other boundary network architecture
- In-depth knowledge TCP/IP and routing
- Software development experience in programming/scripting/DevOps languages: Python, Ansible, Terraform, JSON
- Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support infrastructure engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and ensuring outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations
- Understanding of micro-services, CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, APIs
- Experience with firewall platforms Fortinet, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, and firewall policy orchestrator Tufin
- Leading cross-team coordination and collaboration with stakeholders
- Acting as the escalation point for Network Operations and Service Delivery teams
- Developing engineering standards and artifacts for certified products
- Developing implementation and operational documentations
- Develop and maintain scripts for device pave/repave and automatize day to day tasks
- Leads reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted practices across delivery and automation routines
