Job Summary
Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer in Capacity Management for Consumer and Community Banking. Own end-to-end capacity strategy and operating model for critical applications; lead cross-functional capacity planning and risk management across Application, Infrastructure, and SRE teams; enforce governance and drive remediation. Architect scalable, resilient solutions to modernize capacity processes, enhance observability with real-time KPIs, and develop dashboards and forecasts. Drive automation through governed runbooks for headroom uplift, throttling, and pool rebalancing. Lead quarterly and event-based capacity planning across multi-region/cloud environments; establish data standards and quality controls; produce executive-ready reporting on portfolio status, risks, and recommendations. Mentor engineers, partner with platform owners, finance, and risk/compliance to optimize outcomes; maintain strong documentation and governance discipline.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on Infrastructure Engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience in infrastructure capacity or related field
- Proven leadership of cross-functional programs
- Experience governing technology capacity (or ITIL processes) at enterprise scale
- Strong understanding of infrastructure KPIs (CPU, memory, I/O, network) and monitoring/observability tools
- Hands-on experience building dashboards/analytics (Grafana, Dynatrace, ELK) and BI platforms (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau)
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Python, Go, JavaScript) to automate data pipelines and runbooks
- Experience leading lifecycle of cross-functional projects and delivering scalable solutions
- Cloud experience (AWS) with multi-region patterns and SRE practices
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management
- Track record of improving IT processes for efficiency and user experience
