Job Summary
Lead technical GIS (Gas-Insulated Switchgear) substation projects from initial design through installation and commissioning. Translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions by developing substation layouts, drawings, and technical documentation. Facilitate technical discussions with customers and internal stakeholders while coordinating material procurement, fabrication, and installation planning. Drive design optimization to improve quality, efficiency, and cost performance while ensuring compliance with ISO, environmental, quality, and safety standards. Collaborate with global engineering teams to deliver best-in-class solutions for advanced high-voltage substation projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in substation engineering, high-voltage equipment, or heavy industrial projects
- Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software
- Creo experience
- AutoCAD experience
- Strong project management skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with engineering documentation processes
- Ability to travel occasionally for customer meetings, project reviews, and site support activities
