Job Summary
Lead hardware engineering projects from concept to execution, defining technical direction and managing engineering planning and strategy for BESIX Unitec's largest water infrastructure works. Direct one or more Hardware Engineers while coordinating with software, mechanics, and project management teams to ensure optimal alignment across design, engineering, and execution phases. Organize design reviews with internal and external stakeholders, translating project requirements into robust architectures and reporting proactively on progress to the Project Manager. This role requires a decision-maker with strong communication skills to lead design discussions and navigate complex project environments. The position is based in the region, with frequent travel to Krammersluizen - Bruinisse (minimum 3 days per week). Candidates must reside in the area to make this commute feasible.

- Strong experience within industrial installations, machine building, or infrastructure projects
- Experience in leading engineering teams
- Good knowledge of relevant standards and system engineering principles (such as EN 60204-1)
