Job Summary
Conduct Phase I environmental site assessments and compliance reviews for industrial facilities to support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other business transactions. Perform desktop reviews, visit sites, interview management, and prepare reports consistent with ASTM standards or custom client needs. Provide regulatory support across hazardous waste, wastewater, air emissions, and EPCRA reporting, including permit transfers. Travel locally or nationwide for short business trips to facilities. Assist with junior team development, proposals, cost estimates, and project management while maintaining high-quality deliverables. Join Ramboll's M&A Due Diligence team in New York City or Princeton, NJ, offering a hybrid schedule with a base salary of $97,500 to $126,500.
Required Qualifications
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- No sponsorship available
- Minimum B.S. degree in a relevant engineering discipline (civil, environmental, chemical) or B.S./B.A. in a relevant science discipline (environmental science, geology, chemistry, physics, or biology)
- Advanced degree desirable, but not required
- 7+ years of experience in the performance of Phase I ESAs and environmental compliance reviews for various types of industrial facilities
- A demonstrated ability to perform Phase I ESAs and limited environmental compliance reviews of complex industrial sites
- Ability to travel on short business trips
- Travel is typically of short duration (1-2 days) and may be local or throughout the USA, depending on project needs
- Driver's license and air travel required
- Accustomed to working in a fast-paced transactional environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to distil complex EHS or other technical issues into terms our clients can understand
- Hybrid-based position in our New York City, NY or Princeton, NJ office

- Additional experience in the investigation and remediation of contaminated sites
- Experience with emerging contaminants, health and safety, and ESG
- Highly motivated, flexible, and willing to learn, grow, and actively contribute to the project team
