Senior Lead Caregiver

Job Summary
Conduct personalized assistance for residents including bathing, grooming, meal support, toileting care, and medication reminders while maintaining 1440 care standards. Lead the care team by creating and updating staff schedules, verifying hours in NOVAtime, and managing payroll backups. Create and maintain resident care sheets, coordinate replacement staffing, and communicate resident changes immediately to leadership. Coach staff, participate in hiring and disciplinary processes, and ensure all training records are current in Realis. Respond to resident call signals, perform light room upkeep, and initiate safety evaluations. Maintain accurate documentation and support the team in the Director's absence. Available for weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to apply understanding to carry out written instructions as given by Laurus Leadership
- Available to work weekends, holidays and / or on call as necessary as assigned
- This position entails standing for long periods of time
- The employee is required to communicate effectively with others
- The employee is required to sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects
- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms
- The position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens
- The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others
- Occasional travel to different locations may be required
Desired Qualifications

- Previous Healthcare experience
- Geriatrics experience
- Experience working with the elderly population
- Prior leadership experience
